This must be the shock expression on the lips of those who heard the suspension from office, of the Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere.
Governor Ikpeazu in a terse statement on Sunday, had ordered the Chief of Staff, considered to be among the big power blocs in the state to stay away from office with immediate effect.
The statement signed by Barr Chris Ezem, Secretary to the State Government, read: “Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere”.
Insiders say the Chief of Staff had invited his “Spiritual father” Prophet Odumeje to his office in Umuahia and sprayed him hundreds of dollar notes.
The video of the tactless event had gone viral and many we hear had drawn the Governor’s attention to the indiscretion, leading to the suspension hammer.
